COVID-19 – Virus Now in Over 60 Countries with Cases Surging Around The World

Tokyo, Japan (WNews)- The virus has now spread to 60 countries. Japan has virtually shut down as millions of children stayed home from school.

A steep rise in cases was reported in South Korea, who has warned its people to stay indoors calling this a “critical moment” in its fight against the virus. Italy and Iran also recorded a rise in the number of positive cases. France reported that they have over 130 confirmed cases.

The Middle East has added travel restrictions, mostly through border closing, to contain the rising number of cases in its area. Iran has to Mobilize their military in response to the virus which has infected many higher government officials in the country.

Closer to home, the US confirmed that six people have died as a result of the virus as new cases have been reported in New York and Florida, taking the total to over 100 cases.

Canada has confirmed 24 cases and considers the virus as low risk and no threat to public health.

According to Worldometers, from the 90,211 global cases reported, 3,080 deaths were recorded, and 45,702 people have recovered from the virus.
