Tailgaters and others driving to the game will find little difference because NJ DOT smartly closed the 31st St. ramp to the westbound roadway just east of the Route 3/Turnpike split. That ramp for decades caused a most-of-the-day bottleneck onto the highway. Without the ramp, at worst, westbound drivers will encounter a couple of minutes delay, at best they may even move a bit faster. This doesn’t mean it will be a picnic through the Lincoln Tunnel.
