The officer got out of her patrol car on Fifth Ave. near E. 99th St., by Mt. Sinai’s Kravis Children’s Hospital after the branch toppled onto the hood of a green cab just before 7:40 p.m., according to police and the cab’s driver. The branch shifted and hit the officer in the head, the cabbie recounted.
