Minneapolis (WNN) – The jury has reached a verdict in the George Floyd murder trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin. The verdict will be read late Tuesday afternoon in a courtroom that will have a number of members of George Floyd’s family.
George Floyd died last May after Derek Chauvin, pinned his knee on the 46-year-old man’s neck for about ten minutes in a case that triggered global protests. An event that was followed by violence, and intensified the review of racism and policing in the U.S.
