Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for B.C.’s South Coast, with high temperatures expected to last into early next week.
The government agency said temperatures near the water will peak in the mid to high 20s, while temperatures inland will soar into the mid-30s.
Temperatures on the weekend are expected to rise even more, while evening temperatures in the mid to late teens aren’t expected to provide much relief.
The warning affects the following regions:
Metro Vancouver. The Fraser Valley. Whistler. The Sunshine Coast. The Central and North coasts. East and inland Vancouver Island.
