The former Vice President, Joe Biden, the comeback kid from last week, continues to surge forward and capture hearts as he heads towards the democratic nomination. At 9 PM PST, Biden had already snapped up Michigan, Mississippi, and Missouri. In a statement, Biden said “I want to thank Bernie Sanders and his supporters for their tireless energy and their passion, we share a common goal and together we will defeat Donald Trump. We will defeat him together. We are going to bring this nation together.”

Sanders has been dealt a crushing blow tonight and remains silent after calling off his rally due to the coronavirus threat. Biden is currently in the lead with 812 delegates while Sanders secured 655 delegates. Sanders, who vouched to bring the young and working-class America together in record numbers, has seen America look the other way, again.
