Nova Scotia reported five deaths due to COVID-19 on Wednesday: a woman in her 60s in the northern zone, a woman in her 70s in the western zone, a woman in her 80s in the eastern zone and two women in their 90s in the central zone.
During a press briefing, Premier Tim Houston announced the province is on track to begin easing some COVID-19 restrictions beginning Monday.
“Nova Scotia is ready to make gradual changes and we can make those changes with confidence,” said Houston.
