A top surrogate for Donald Trump admitted Wednesday she was wrong to say that President Barack Obama was responsible for Capt. Humayun Khan’s death.
Instead, she pointed her finger at Hillary Clinton.
On Tuesday, Trump national spokeswoman Katrina Pierson had blamed Khan’s death in Iraq on Obama and Clinton in an interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer.
But she changed her story Wednesday in a lengthy exchange that amounted to a live fact-checking.
