Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson will hold meetings with top Democratic and Republican senators on Wednesday, a White House official tells CNN, as the confirmation process for the President’s nominee to the Supreme Court gets underway.
Jackson is scheduled to meet individually with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Dick Durbin and the ranking Republican on the Judiciary Committee, Sen. Chuck Grassley, the official said.
Jackson spent time this weekend beginning to prepare for the Senate confirmation process with a team of White House lawyers and aides.
Democrats are hoping for a swift and bipartisan confirmation process
