WNews Reactions – Twitter’s users had some reactions to the new orders that were handed down on Tuesday including closing gyms, fitness centres, bars and nightclubs. Let say most are not happy.

The restrictions will start on 11:59 pm December 22 and extend to Jan. 18, 2022, at 11:59 p.m., and include:

  • no organized indoor social events and gatherings of any size;
  • concerts, sports games and theatres reduced to 50% seated capacity, regardless of venue size;
  • closing gyms, fitness centres and dance studios;
  • closing bars and nightclubs; and
  • limiting table sizes at restaurants, cafes and pubs to a maximum of six people per table with physical distancing or barriers.

Some of the reactions to the new orders:

Why does Bonnie Henry hate the gym and people who love fitness? Make it make sense ! #brbcrying

Gyms keeping up Healthy and Sane

Dr. Bonnie Henry it would have been much better 50% at gyms with 6 ft apart than 50% canucks games… the gym is keeping up healthy and sane

One of the worst things you could do right now

I’m all for making smart and safe decisions to protect people during this never-ending pandemic, but closing gyms and fitness centres during the coldest, darkest, and often loneliest time of year for many is one of the worst things you could do right now. https://t.co/EvOQcYRZDT

— Marcus (@InTheBluePaint) December 21, 2021

Bonnie Henry is a cow

Wow, yeah let’s close down fitness centres where people go to actually improve their Heath. Bonnie Henry is a cow.

Some had their explicated viewpoints

Goes to a Canucks Name but can’t go to the gym

Can go to a Canucks game with 9000 people but can't go to the gym 🥴 https://t.co/71b8nQYMKN

— Nick Bondi (@nickbondi) December 21, 2021

Some are Questioning why they got Vaccinated

So we might as well ALL be unvaxed now. Bonnie Henry just took away ALL the privileges vaxed people felt superior about having as this #COVID #variant allegedly rips through the double ( some triple) vaxed population.) But… "trust science"… Are folks still feeling smug 🤔

— Labir Bains (@labir_bains) December 22, 2021

We’re all vaccinated, & supposedly protected against Covid-19; therefore Dr. Bonnie Henry gave us privileges. But now our privileges are being taken away because Covid can mutate & evade the vaccine?? Are we making ourselves weaker to the virus?

What. Is. The. Point.

— nosmoke (@nosmokenomore) December 22, 2021

No but seriously, why am I even vaccinated at this point?

— syd (@blondeleobaby) December 21, 2021

Some Claim that cases will be way down

What a joke. By 4 January this wave will be on the way down and hospitalizations will be low. Can you and Bonnie Henry not read ?

— Jan Visser (@JanViss29455208) December 22, 2021

Citizens in Alberta can still go to the Gym Unvaccinated

My vaccinated friends in BC can’t go to a gym or movie in a couple days but yet in AB I can still go see a movie and go to the gym unvaxxed. They all got vaccinated for the “privileges” that Bonnie Henry just took away.

— Rey (@14ReyRey) December 22, 2021

wildly inconsistent measures

@CBCOnTheCoast: What frustrates me about the 5th wave? Not the increased health measures. No, it’s the wildly inconsistent measures that allow restaurant dining while preventing family gatherings, and that Bonnie Henry still refuses to acknowledge that covid is aerosol.

— Wanda Thompson (@Wanda_WestCoast) December 22, 2021

There’s confusion with the orders…

Ok so if those 10 people are each from a different household how does they jive with 2 household. Like which is it? 10pm or 2 household??

— Eyedeas (@eyedeas604) December 21, 2021

A household or 10 guests or a household + 10 guests? Still trying to understand this.

— Eyedeas (@eyedeas604) December 21, 2021

I’m vaxxed and I’m done…

I'm 2× vaxxed, will get booster but I'm done with this, see your family and friends enjoy your life

— Rutherford Wilson (@BigDogBronco) December 21, 2021

The rare supporter of Henry: The Vaxxed are to blame, not the Chief Medical Officer

Quit piling on Bonnie Henry. I’m not happy with the new restrictions but she has very little choice. It’s the y vaxxed folks who are to blame. Not the chief medical officer.

— Su Doe (@SuDoeName) December 22, 2021

Experts’ like Henry are why people don’t trust experts

Bonnie Henry has made repeated 'mistakes' when she should know better. She has been caught lying more than once.

'Experts' like Henry are why people don't trust experts. Or governments that support them.#bcpoli
