Summer heat finally coming to Vancouver this week

Vancouver, BC (WNews Weather) – After a cool and wet spring, the first week of Summer is expected to bring the hottest days so far this year for Vancouver and the valley.

According to Environment Canada’s long-term forecast, the pattern of rain is supposed to clear by Wednesday with sunny skies forecast starting Thursday.

Next weekend, the temperatures are expected to soar into the upper 20s/low 30s for highs.

Next Saturday and Sunday, inland temperatures are expected to be around 28° C to 30° while temperatures by the water will be around the mid-20s.

While this heat won’t be compared to the record heat dome from last summer over 200 people died after recorded breaking temperatures hit the Lower Mainland and interior.
