COVID-19 closes 18 NYC school buildings on Thursday; ‘Challenging for everyone,’ says Brooklyn principal

The closures reported Thursday bring the total number of buildings shuttered because of multiple COVID cases to 29 — still a small fraction of the more than 850 buildings that have opened since Monday for in-person classes.
