Covid crackdown in Newark: Store closing restrictions, other steps taken after uptick in cases

Beginning Tuesday night, all non-essential businesses must now close at 8 p.m., with restaurants and other city eateries required to shutter for indoor dining at the same time. Beauty and nail salons, along with barbershops, are now open by appointment only, and all gyms and health clubs must close for a half-hour every hour for sanitizing.
