Homeless man charged in death of Portland woman found in van

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A homeless Portland man has been charged with murder in the death of a woman whose body was found in his van.

A probable cause affidavit filed by a Portland police detective says 58-year-old Terry Hickman went to a friend’s house Thursday and said he choked a woman until she stopped breathing.

Detectives found Hickman, and they say he consented to a search of the van. Inside, police found the body of 29-year-old Dallas Boyd. Court
