NYPD sergeant sues city, claiming retaliation by commander after he made a disparaging crack about her management

Sgt. Harold Gates, 47, filed the $9 million discrimination lawsuit in federal court in Manhattan, alleges that as a union delegate, his advocacy for his colleagues in PSA 1 in Coney Island ran afoul of the unit commander, Deputy Inspector Tania Kinsella.
