NYC officials on both sides frustrated after fiery night of protests over George Floyd’s death

Mayor de Blasio, joined by his police commissioner, called Saturday for peaceful city protests after a fiery night of violent Brooklyn demonstrations ignited by a Minneapolis officer’s killing of a black man. The call for calm was accompanied by complaints from elected officials about the response from cops as they clashed with protesters on the streets.
