In Yakima’s apple industry, the surging COVID-19 pandemic has brought a wave of cases, and labor strife

In Yakima County, the per capita COVID-19 cases have climbed to about 1,000 per 100,000, nearly quadruple the statewide average,. Nearly 500 of the more than 2,630 positive cases in the county are men and women who work in agriculture industries, causing concerns and labor unrest.
