Arrests reported at Manhattan anti-cop protests; Daily News lensman attacked

Protesters were in Times Square and at Sixth Ave. and W. 54th St., outside the New York Hilton, at around 9 p.m. Police said the protests were peaceful at first. But then a protester was arrested on Sixth Avenue, and a melee ensued that resulted in several people in handcuffs.
