Ever since I was a kid, I have always had a passion for news and weather, and I watched many historical events occur. I remember being glued to the TV, watching the latest coverages of Hurricane Katrina hitting New Orleans, the mass shooting at Virginia Tech, Obama’s Election campaigns and many more.
I have seen reports of governments and organizations folding due to corruption being investigated by the media. But this has unfortunately changed over the past decade with increased biased, inaccurate and misleading reporting by the mainstream media. There has been a significant increase in polarization of news sources whether it’s from the left or the right leading media. This has caused the public to not trust the news, especially over the past four years.
I formed WNews (originally World News Network) in 2012 as a way to change the narrative, to be honest, objective and investigative like the way news used to be. By having an honest and trustworthy source for news, those in government and society can be held accountable and responsible for their actions and decisions.In March 2014, I brought this domain to bring the news to the world. This site has published 100,000s of stories over the years.
Ever since forming WNews, I reported on the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020, and the Freedom Convoy in 2022 plus broking many news articles that the other media outlets didn’t publish or even mention. I believe that the facts and information should be vetted and provide insight into the events facing society. I believe that news should be relevant, reliable and most importantly trustworthy.
I believe that WNews, the news can be a source of inspiration for many people with trusted news that is investigative journalism as well as leaving the opinions out of the news stories. I believe that WNews can be the source where journalists especially independent journalists can share their articles with the world.
This past April, WNews unveiled its new website https://w.news, with a whole new design and focus on objective and independent journalism. WNews also unveiled NewsFuse, an independent program for journalists and media outlets to share the news.
