Canada wins women's world curling championship as Rachel Homan guides country to 1st gold since 2018

Rachel Homan and her Ottawa-based team of Tracy Fleury, Emma Miskew and Sarah Wilkes captured gold at the women’s curling world championship on Sunday in Sydney, N.S.

Homan’s rink delivered Canada’s first curling world title since 2018 with a 7-5 win over four-time defending champion Silvana Tirinzoni of Switzerland.

Homan, a four-time Scotties champion, also won the title with Miskew in 2017.
