Calgary police officer accused of assaulting wife sees charge dropped

A Calgary police officer accused of assaulting his wife no longer faces an assault charge after it was withdrawn by the prosecution in a court in Airdrie, Alta. 

The four-year member of the force was arrested by RCMP on Dec. 7,
