Boy pulled from well in Morocco after 4 days has died, royal palace says

A five-year-old boy who was pulled out of a well in Morocco on Saturday following four days of rescue efforts has died, according to the royal palace.

In a statement, Moroccan King Mohammed VI expressed his condolences to the parents of the boy, whose name was Rayan.

The boy was pulled out Saturday night after a lengthy rescue operation that has captivated global attention.
