‘They were pioneers’: Celebrations mark 100th anniversary of 1st non-stop transatlantic flight

Exactly 100 years after Capt. John Alcock and Lt. Arthur Whitten Brown “literally risked their lives” to cross from Newfoundland to Ireland in 1919, they’re being celebrating for changing the world of aviation.
