NHL-best Capitals add defensive depth in deal for Tom Gilbert

The Washington Capitals have acquired defenceman Tom Gilbert from Los Angeles for a conditional draft pick. Gilbert, 34, had one goal and five points in 18 NHL games with the Kings this season.
