Rapist who tortured woman in hotel for 8 hours handed 8½-year sentence

The rapist who confined and tortured a woman in a Calgary hotel room for eight hours has been sentenced to 8½ years in prison but given a reduced sentence because of difficult conditions he endured while in custody.
