Brian Burke named Penguins' president of hockey ops, joining new GM Hextall

The Pittsburgh Penguins hired Ron Hextall as general manager on Tuesday after Jim Rutherford resigned abruptly last month while longtime NHL executive Brian Burke has been named director of hockey operations.
