Doggone it! Canines take over beloved ballpark

Mascots weren’t the only furry creatures at Nat Bailey Stadium on Monday for the Vancouver Canadians baseball game against the Spokane Indians. 

Baseball fans were invited to bring their four-legged best friends along for a tail waggin’ good time for the annual ‘Dog Day of Summer’ event.

“It’s the only dog friendly thing in the Lower Mainland. They don’t let you on patios or restaurants. You can only go to coffee shops, so this is it,” said Rail Kay, who brought his two beagles.
