How Filipino-Canadian care aides are disproportionately affected by the COVID-19 pandemic

The epicentre of B.C.’s COVID-19 outbreak has been long-term care homes and assisted living facilities, where a disproportionate number of care aides are Filipina women, according to an associate professor with UBC’s Institute for Gender, Race, Sexuality and Social Justice.
