B.C. government not springing forward on abolishing Daylight Savings Time

Most British Columbians will be preparing to move their clocks forward one hour this weekend — but if you had hopes the B.C. government was going to change Daylight Savings Time in the near future, you might want to roll back your expectations. 

In a statement, the government said “we have heard from many people on both sides of the issue. However, there are no plans for a formal public consultation at this point.”

It comes despite hints by Premier John
