23: Justin Trudeau Wins re-election with minority gov’t after calling Snap election during 4th Wave

Justin Trudeau won re-election with a minority gov’t after calling a sudden election during  4th wave of the pandemic. The Canada Liberal Party gained 5 seats.

The majority of Canadians did not want elections as the 4th wave of the Global Pandemic has started.

The biggest shocker was the split between the Conservative Party and the People’s Party of Canada (PPC) was the fact that the PPC gain 4.94% of the total votes while gaining no seats at all. The People’s Party ran on a campaign of anti-lockdowns and anti-vaccine mandates.

Annamie Paul of the Green Party lost in the Toronto Centre, which forced her to resign from the party.

The NDP under the leadership of Jagmeet Singh, gained 1 new seat. The Bloc Québécois gained or lost seats since the 2019 Election.
