Justin Trudeau won re-election with a minority gov’t after calling a sudden election during 4th wave of the pandemic. The Canada Liberal Party gained 5 seats.Â
The majority of Canadians did not want elections as the 4th wave of the Global Pandemic has started. Â
The biggest shocker was the split between the Conservative Party and the People’s Party of Canada (PPC) was the fact that the PPC gain 4.94% of the total votes while gaining no seats at all. The People’s Party ran on a campaign of anti-lockdowns and anti-vaccine mandates.
Annamie Paul of the Green Party lost in the Toronto Centre, which forced her to resign from the party.
The NDP under the leadership of Jagmeet Singh, gained 1 new seat. The Bloc Québécois gained or lost seats since the 2019 Election.
