Vancouver, BC (WNews)- Summer is finally coming after a wet start. Environment Canada is forecasting hot temperatures with sunny conditions for the weekend and beyond.
According to our weather report, temperatures will range from the low 20s to the upper 20s for parts of the valley.
Monday is expected to be the hottest of the week, with temperatures by the water to be 26° C and inland of 29° C.
The feel like temperatures is forecast to be in the mid to upper 30°, which is dangerous temperatures. Environment Canada could issue an extreme heat warning should the temperatures be over 26° plus for Vancouver.
During the summer of 2018, Environment Canada issued many extreme heat warnings due to the heat that summer.
Another concern is the possibility of new wildfires due to the increased temperatures and dryness of the forests.
