Vancouver (WWN)- A heavy rainfall warning has been issued for Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley for up to 60mm of rain tonight and tomorrow. This is the fourth big storm that has pounded the region since last week with rain.

More rain is forecast on Friday with possibly 40+mm of rain to hit the region before changes to colder and snowy weather.
While there heavy rain happening on the coast, heavy snow is occurring in the B.C. Interior with Kelowna getting pounded with snow since last week with some areas of the interior getting over 40cm of snow.
More Snow is expected to hit the mountain passes including Highway 5, Highway 3 between Hope and the Interior and Highway 1. Expect dangerous conditions throughout the interior over the next many days. 
Big Changes Coming
There’s a change expected to occur beginning this weekend to more snowy and way below normal temperatures. Snow is expected to fall later in the week and into the weekend. 
Temperatures are expected to plunge next week with temperatures below freezing with possible lows some days next week -7° or colder according to some models.
The outflow winds are expected to flow out of the interior to the coast beginning either Saturday or Sunday which Wind Chills will be expected. The normal areas for strong outflow winds are the Howe Sound Area and Chilliwack-Hope Area.

The long-range forecast is showing a possible of 5 days straight of heavy snowfall with 10 plus cm of snow for January 16, 2019. Mind you that is 10 days which the forecast could and will change.
