Vancouver (WNews)- Snow and Cold are forecast for Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley later this week. According to long term forecasts, possible snow flurries are expected Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
While eastern Canada is expected to be in spring like temperatures, Western Canada is expected to freeze beginning next weekend with temperatures to be 4-8 below normal.

Early models are projecting the high next Sunday and Monday to be -2° C with the lows around -5 or colder. Normal temperatures for Metro Vancouver is 4 to 5°C for this time of Year.


Vancouver has been facing a drought in snowfall as December had the least amount of snow in a couple of years. Normal snowfall amount is 13cm.
The last many weeks, Vancouver and the Lower Mainland has faced a above average rainfall with large rainfall this last week. On Thursday and Friday, there’s were over 60mm of rain recorded, which sparked a flood watch for the North Vancouver and West Vancouver area.
