WNewsNetwork gives people around the world the power to publish their own stories, see the world through the eyes of many other people, and connect and share wherever they go. The conversation that happens on WNewsNetwork – and the opinions expressed here – mirror the diversity of the people using WNewsNetwork.
To balance the needs and interests of a global population, WNewsNetwork protects expression that meets the community standards outlined on this page.
Please review these standards. They will help you understand what type of expression is acceptable, and what type of content may be reported and removed.
Violence and Threats
Safely is very top priority at WNewsNetwork. We remove content and may escalate to law enforcement when we perceive a genuine risk of physical harm, or a direct threat to public safety. You may not credibly threaten others, or organize acts of real-world violence. Organizations with a record of terrorist or violent criminal activity are not allowed to maintain a presence on our site. We also prohibit promoting, planning or celebrating any of your actions if they have, or could, result in financial harm to others, including theft and vandalism. Violations of this section will results in Account termination*
Bullying and Harassment
WNewsNetwork does not tolerate bullying or harassment. We do want to give our users the freedom to post on matters people and of public interest, but take action on all reports of abusive behavior directed at private individuals. Repeatedly targeting other users with unwanted follow requests or messages is a form of harassment. Violations of this section will results in Account termination*
Graphic Content
WNewsNetwork has been a place to comment on News Stories or upload media content. Sometimes, those experiences and issues involve graphic content that is of public interest or concern, such as human rights abuses or acts of terrorism. In many instances, when people share this type of content, it is to condemn it. However, graphic images shared for sadistic effect or to celebrate or glorify violence have no place on our site.
When people share any content, we expect that they will share in a responsible manner. For graphic videos, people should warn their audience about the nature of the content in the video so that their audience can make an informed choice about whether to watch it.
Hate Speech
WNewsNetwork does not permit hate speech, but distinguishes between serious and humorous speech. While we encourage you to challenge ideas, institutions, events, and practices, we do not permit individuals or groups to attack others based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability or medical condition.
Identity and Privacy
People on WNewsNetwork uses their real names and identities. We asked if you refrain from publishing personal information of others without their consent.
Nudity
Intellectual Property
Before sharing content on WNewsNetwork, please be sure you have the right to do so. We ask that you respect copyrights, trademarks, and other legal rights.
Spam
We ask that you respect our users by not contacting them for commercial purposes without their consent which including Phishing, Mobile phone spam,using spambots, etc.
Violations of this section will results in Account termination* and may have Website access terminated
Security
It’s a violation of our term of service to upload viruses or other malicious code onto WNewsNetwork.Also You will not collect users’ content or information, or otherwise access WNewsNetwork, using automated means (such as harvesting bots, robots, spiders, or scrapers) without our prior permission. Violations of this section will results in Account termination and will have the Website access terminated.
Reporting Abuse
If you see something on the site, that would violate the term of service or Community Standards, If on the Comment, please use the Reporting system on the comment or send us a email to abuse@wnewsnetwork.com with the following:
- URL of the content
- The Content Title
- The Date the Content posted
- Their First and Last Name
- Your First name and Last Name
- Your Content Email if we need more information
- The Reason why you are reporting the content
What happens if you violate the Community Standards or Terms of Service.
- You will receive a email saying what’s the violation was and what you have to do (Example: removed the content or edited the content)
- Second Violation: You will get a second warning on the Violation, which will warn you if you get one more violation, your account will be terminated
- Third Violation or a severe abuse (such as predatory behavior or spam): You will receive a email saying that your account has been terminated.*^
- Violations of the Security section will results in Account termination and will have the Website access terminated which may involves IP Blockage and/or email blockage. This may escalate to law enforcement if we perceive a genuine risk of physical harm, or a direct threat to public safety and/or website data.
*Users whose accounts have been terminated are prohibited from accessing, possessing or creating any other WNewsNetwork accounts. When an account is terminated, the account owner will receive an email detailing the reason for the terminated.
^You can make a appeal to WNewsNetwork with the reason why you think that your account should be restored. This process does not guaranteed that your account will be restored.
Copyright Takedown
If you noticed a user on WNewsNetwork who have used your work, which includes images, videos, audio, etc which is protected by copyright laws in Canada.
