A search has ramped up in the Lake Cowichan area of Vancouver Island after a car belonging to a missing senior was found on a logging road over the weekend.
Gladys Barman, 82, was last seen on video surveillance around 10 a.m. PT on July 5, filling up her vehicle at the Petro Canada gas station on West Saanich Road.
Her family says she had been exhibiting some minor signs of confusion before she went missing, but nothing that raised alarm.
Lake Cowichan RCMP said a citizen found Barman’s green Honda on a remote logging road off Lake Cowichan on Saturday.
